Day 1: Kigali Nyungwe via Nyanza & Huye | Culture & Coffee Experience
Depart Kigali for a scenic drive to the southwest, stopping at Nyanza to visit the King’s Palace Museum, where Rwanda’s royal history comes alive through traditional architecture and storytelling.
Continue to Huye for a visit to the Ethnographic Museum, showcasing Rwandan culture, traditions, and local life. Afterward, head to Mount Coffee for an interactive coffee experience, learning about cultivation, processing, and tasting Rwanda’s world-famous coffee.
Drive onward to your lodge near Nyungwe or Gisakura, relax, and enjoy dinner in preparation for the forest adventures ahead.
Day 2: Nyungwe Forest | Canopy Walk & Zipline Adventure
Spend the day immersed in Nyungwe Forest, starting with the famous Canopy Walk, strolling above the rainforest for panoramic views and wildlife spotting.
In the afternoon, embrace adventure with a zipline experience, soaring through the forest for a thrilling perspective of the rainforest and its stunning landscapes.
Return to your lodge for overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Rope Course Adventure
Rise early and start the drive at 5:00am for an unforgettable chimpanzee trekking adventure. Guided by expert rangers, hike through Nyungwe’s lush rainforest to find and observe these remarkable primates in their natural habitat while learning about conservation efforts. In the late afternoon after lunch, you return to Nyungwe Adventure Park for an exciting rope course, combining fun, activity, and connection with the forest environment after you drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Tea Plantation, Lake Kivu & Return to Kigali
After breakfast, visit a local tea plantation and factory, experiencing tea picking, processing, and tasting while enjoying panoramic views of the estates.
Continue your scenic drive toward Kigali, stopping at Lake Kivu for a relaxing lakeside lunch and optional boat ride to one of the islands, soaking in the tranquil scenery.
Arrive in Kigali in the evening, with lasting memories of culture, wildlife, and adventure.
