Day 1: Kigali Nyungwe via Nyanza & Huye | Cultural & Scenic Drive
Pick up from your hotel in Kigali and begin your journey south with a cultural stop at Nyanza, visiting the King’s Palace Museum, where traditional architecture and storytelling bring Rwanda’s royal history to life.
Continue to Huye for a visit to the Ethnographic Museum, one of East Africa’s finest, showcasing Rwandan traditions, beliefs, and daily life. Enjoy lunch in Huye before heading toward Nyungwe National Park, passing rolling hills and lush tea plantations along the scenic drive.
Upon arrival, experience the famous Canopy Walk, suspended above the rainforest for panoramic views and wildlife spotting. Check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Nyungwe Forest | Chimpanzee Trekking & Leisure
Start early with a guided chimpanzee trekking adventure in Nyungwe Forest. Explore lush rainforest trails with expert guides as you search for these fascinating primates and observe their natural behavior.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon of leisure, allowing you to enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings. Optional activities can be arranged based on your interests, such as guided nature walks or birdwatching.

Day 3: Tea Plantation, Lake Kivu & Return to Kigali
After breakfast, check out and visit a nearby tea plantation for an immersive experience, learning the process from leaf picking to processing while enjoying panoramic views of the estates. Optional short activities like the forest loop course can be included.
In the afternoon, drive toward Lake Kivu at Kibuye, stopping for lakeside lunch and relaxation by the tranquil waters. Continue the scenic drive back to Kigali, with drop-off at your hotel, residence, or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of the adventure.
