Day 1: Kigali → Musanze (Kinigi) | Scenic Drive & Dian Fossey Experience
After pick-up from your hotel/airpot in Kigali, depart for northern Rwanda toward Musanze (Kinigi), enjoying Rwanda’s breathtaking countryside along the way.
En-route for lunch will be served in one of the nice coffee shop and restaurant on the way.
In the afternoon, visit the Dian Fossey – Ellen DeGeneres Campus, where you’ll learn about mountain gorilla conservation, research efforts, and the legacy of Dian Fossey.
Later, transfer to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park for check-in, dinner, and overnight.
Day 2: Volcanoes National Park | Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Experience
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a detailed ranger briefing before starting your mountain gorilla trekking adventure.
Hike through bamboo forests and lush vegetation in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once located, you’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat watching their interactions, taking photos, and absorbing the moment.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
If time and energy allow, enjoy an evening community cultural visit, offering insight into local traditions, dance, and daily life around the park.
Day 3: Volcanoes National Park | Golden Monkey Trekking → Kigali
This morning, head back into Volcanoes National Park for a Golden Monkey trekking experience. These playful and energetic primates are a delight to watch as they move swiftly through the bamboo forest.
The trek usually finishes by midday. Afterward, enjoy a quick lunch before beginning your drive back to Kigali. Drop-off will be at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your safari experience
