Day 1: Kigali → Volcanoes National Park (Musanze)
Scenic Drive & Leisure Evening
After breakfast, our professional driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural landscapes, with optional photo stops and Rwandan coffee breaks along the way.
Upon arrival in Musanze, check in at your lodge near Volcanoes National Park. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, relax at the lodge, enjoy the views of the Virunga volcanoes, or explore the surroundings at your own pace.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience → Return to Kigali
Mountain Gorilla Encounter & Departure
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, You will be assigned a gorilla family, have a briefing by expert park rangers and be guided into the forest for your gorilla trekking adventure.
The trek duration varies depending on the location of the gorillas, but once you meet them, you’ll spend one magical hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and enjoying this deeply moving wildlife experience.
After the trek, return to the lodge for refreshments and lunch before beginning the drive back to Kigali. Drop-off will be at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, marking the end of your tour.
