The day starts with an early morning pick-up from Kigali, followed by a scenic drive of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours to Akagera National Park. Upon arrival, you enjoy extended game drives during the best wildlife hours, exploring savannahs, woodlands, and lakes in search of ,Rhinos(with more than 95% chances to see them),elephants,Lions,giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes etc, and, with some luck, a leopard. A relaxed picnic lunch is enjoyed inside the park before continuing with afternoon game viewing and photography. An optional boat safari on Lake Ihema in the morning upon arrival can be added to observe hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife after game drive you exit the park and return to Kigali in the evening.
