Day 1: Kigali to Akagera National Park – Southern Circuit & Boat Safari
You will be picked up in Kigali in the morning and drive east toward Akagera National Park, a scenic journey of approximately three hours. Upon arrival through the southern gate, you will check in and enjoy lunch at Ruzizi Tented Lodge, surrounded by nature and views of Lake Ihema. The afternoon is reserved for relaxation before heading out around mid-afternoon for a short game drive in the southern sector, followed by a sunset boat safari on Lake Ihema. This peaceful cruise offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of birdlife. Dinner and overnight at Ruzizi Tented Lodge.
Day 2: Northern Circuit Game Drive & Night Safari
After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive toward the northern circuit of Akagera, known for its open plains and higher chances of spotting large mammals. The drive allows for unhurried wildlife viewing, with a picnic lunch enjoyed inside the park. In the afternoon, the game drive continues as you explore different habitats and track animals across the savannah. In the evening, transfer to Karenge Bush Camp for dinner before embarking on a guided night game drive, a unique experience that reveals nocturnal wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, bush babies, and other night-active species. Overnight at Karenge Bush Camp.
Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Return to Kigali
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, a prime time to observe predators returning from the hunt and the park awakening with activity. After breakfast at Karenge Bush Camp, you will depart Akagera National Park and drive back to Kigali, arriving in time for a drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari adventure.

The total cost for this three-day safari is USD 3,300.
The package includes accommodation with one night in Kigali and two nights in Akagera, all meals during the safari with one soft drink per meal, private transportation for four days including fuel, driver, and airport pick-up, park entry fees, southern and northern circuit game drives, a boat safari on Lake Ihema, and a guided night game drive at Karenge.

International or domestic flights, personal expenses such as shopping, snacks, tips, and drinks, travel insurance, optional Kigali city activities, and additional soft or alcoholic drinks at lodges are not included.
